Token
TOKEN: BRAND & IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT, UI/UX DESIGN
Token is a location based content sharing application. Users share 'tokens' in the form of text, images and video in geofences. These geofences restrict access to the content unless the viewer is physically within the its borders.
Users gain points and followers and can build digital treasure maps of experiences within their hometown, a new way to merge the digital and physical worlds.
BRAND DEVELOPMENT
The logo needed to be versatile and used at multiple touchpoint in the user experience. It first needed to be a unique identifier for the brand as a whole. Secondly, it needed to reflect the sense of adventure at the heart of the application. Thirdly, it needed to be itself, the reward that a user receives when they come upon content in the real world.
BRAND IDENTITY
The final logo was the culmination of three graphic elements.
1. The compass reflects the sense of searching for and locating items.
2. The mountains represent the sense of adventure, an element synonymous with wanderlust.
3. The coin is a treasure of sorts, a digital 'token' that could be acquire as they used the application.
UI/ UX DESIGN
These are two of the primary screens. The map allows users to see where they are in relation to tokens around them. The camera and messaging functionality allows users to share their content with friends and groups they are apart of.
ICON DESIGN
The brand wanted their map interface to feel unique while still being consistent with elements users commonly find in other applications.
By merging elements from the logo into a traditional map pin, we created a simple and iconic brand element that creates a unique experience for the end user.

The rucksack allows users to save tokens they find, to create a virtual treasure map of acquired content & experiences.
SPLASHSCREEN
The splash screen was designed to easily be animated with javascript.
